Few Features You should know about new currency !

After Prime Minister announced the abolition of Rs 500 and 1000 (i.e. demonetization) notes from the midnight of 8th November 2016 to curb the black money, Reserve Bank of India has released the picture and details of the new currency notes of 500 and 2000. It was a very surprise news for the citizen of India after the Surgical strikes. On the one hand, Citizens applauded him, on the other hand, opposition parties slammed the central government. The news feed and social media groups flooded with the same news. People updated their opinions on social media as if they are the veteran Economists. And today the same veteran Economist had turned into Psephologist for the result of American Presidential Election.  

Well, come to the point. As the Prime Minister gave a surprise address(With commendable decision) to the Nation, there is some doubts and question too among the public. How will the new currency curb the black money? Because earlier it was the note of 1000 only, now the new currency of 2000 is about to come into Market, consequently, the corrupt people will get benefits with the double amount. But this is not true actually. Now as the RBI has released new currency, officials will keep the trackings of every notes.

It is true that the public will face some difficulties till December but later it will help the Indian Economy. As it was announced that the exchange of the notes would be done from 10th Nov to 30th Dec in any post office or Bank, apart from this if people are facing some problems in their exchange or something, they can contact to RBI on the released contact no. Let’s have a look at the features of new currency notes-

                                                                 

Features of New currency 2000 Notes:-

Dimension :- 66mm ×166mm

Obverse :-

  1. See through with denominational Numeral 2000 can be seen when the note is held against the light.
  2. Latent image with denominational can be seen when the note is tilted at 450.
  3. Denominational numeral 2000 has been also written in Devanagari.
  4. Guarantee clause, Government’s signature, promise clause and RBI emblem towards the right.
  5. Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi is at center.
  1. Ashoka pillar emblem on the right side.
  2. Seven bleed lines on left and right both.
  3. If you tilt the note, the color of it changes from green to blue.

New Currency 2000

 

 

 

Reverse:-

  1. Year of printing i.e. 2016 on the note.
  2. Swacch Bharat logo with slogan “Ek Kadam Swacchata ki or “
  3. The motif of Mangalyan – reflecting Nation’s first venture in the interplanetary space.

  2. It has the currency value written in Hindi as well
  3. The number is written in green color which also turns blue in light
  4. It has the Swacch Bharat logo on it
  5. It has raised letters on it so that the visually challenged can feel Rs 500 written
